Camping through the Pilbara with a converted fibreglass work canopy on our tray back Ute was fantastic. It was so easy and we found we had heaps of space not even used. However we thought that instead of pitching a tent for our sleeping arrangements, it would be more comfortable and convenient to have the bed incorporated in the unit. So our slide-on tray back Traymate Campers came into being.

Traymate Campers are designed to make your holidays the most enjoyable yet. Weight was uppermost on our minds and so we designed a camper that would be light weight but structurally robust.

When travelling the hot, dusty outback a hot shower is a luxury. We have introduced a shower that allows you the option of both hot and cold water, with a heavy duty privacy screen. Believe me; this makes life much more pleasant.

Being keen on fishing, we also decided to include a long storage area to accommodate our rods, which is accessible from both sides of the vehicle making it very convenient.

We love to be out in the wide open spaces with lots of fresh air. Even when we go to bed the six flyscreened windows allow plenty of breeze to flow through.

While we were travelling we experienced flat tyres – like most travellers do. That's when we decided that our next camper would be fitted with two spare wheel carriers. We have put a lot of thought and testing into our Traymate Campers.
